What did you do this past week?

This past week, my group and I haven’t started on the final phase of the project, yet. We will definitely have to start making progress on that starting next week, though. It doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of work to complete for this phase, apart from making a presentation, visualizations, and refactoring the code. Apart from working on that, I also took a test for my Data Mining class and worked on an assignment for another class.

What’s in your way?

What’s currently in my way is working on a project for my Compilers class. I had been putting off this current assignment because I was trying focus on Phase III of this project and because of some personal problems, but once I started on my Compilers assignment, I realized that I probably should’ve started it sooner. Since it’s due pretty soon, I’ll have to focus on that until I finish it.

What will you do next week?

Next week, I’ll try to finish my Compiler assignment. It’s going to take some time, but for now, I’ll have to put all my effort into that assignment. Once I’m done with that, I’ll start working on the final phase of the IDB project. I will also make sure to keep with attending lecture for my other classes.

If you read it, what did you think of The New Methodology?

I have not read The New Methodology, yet.

What was your experience of SQL?

My experience with SQL has been a little challenging. I kind of remember the different SQL commands, but I definitely need to brush up on them. I remember the basics, like “select * from Table where…”, but that’s as much as I can do for now. I’m still confused about certain things, like count() and “group by”, but I’m sure a quick look at the notes will clear up that confusion.

What made you happy this week?

Something that made me happy this week was being able to step outside and enjoy the weather this week. There were multiple days this week where the weather was perfect. Luckily, I had some time to get out of the house and get some fresh air.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip-of-the-week is getting some fresh air every once in a while. With the quarantine, I think it’s especially important to get out and get some fresh air.
