What did you do this past week?

This past week, I continued to work on my portion of Phase II of the IDB project. Last weekend, I started working on filling my group’s database tables with relevant information, and luckily I was able to get that done early this week. After finishing that, I started studying for the test, which I felt pretty confident about. Since then, I’ve been working on the API for my group’s website using Flask. I’m going to continue working on that for the remainder of the weekend.

What’s in your way?

What’s currently in my way are other projects and assignments from my other classes. Because, I’ve my group’s reduced team size, my teammates and I have been having to work extra hard to keep up with everything required for this project. Because of this, I’ve been having to put extra time into working on the website. Regardless, I think that we’ve made some good progress, and we’ll continue to do what we need to to get this phase done.

What will you do next week?

Next week, my group and I will continue to work hard on finishing this phase of the project. The main thing we need to focus on is updating our public website with all of the changes that we’ve made. We currently have completely a majority of components needed for this phase, but none of these changes have been deployed, so we’re going to have to focus on that. I will also make sure to keep up with my assignments and projects in my other classes.

If you read it, what did you think of The Liskov Substitution Principle?

I have not read the Liskov Substitution Principle, yet.

What was your experience of Test #1?

My experience with Test #1 was pretty good. I feel like that test was a lot easier than I expected. There were no real surprises or anything that was too tricky. I also found it helpful to be able to work with my team on the test for the second half of the test.

What made you happy this week?

Something that made me happy this week was being able to get some good sleep. Frequently, I usually wake up tired, or I’m not able to sleep in, but this week, for some reason, I slept better than usual.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My pick-of-the-week is a JSON parsing website called http://json.parser.online.fr/. It’s helped me a lot while trying to read through large JSON files.
